Kristin is married to her husband Michael Pessenda since 2016 and have two beautiful children, Sophia & Max, along with fur babies. Kristin and Michael are both lifelong residents of the Iron Range. Kristin is passionate about giving back to the community through local organizations and community involvement & making the Iron Range the place where families want to live and raise their children.

Kristin has been a licensed insurance professional since 2010, with licenses in MN, WI, ND, IA, AZ, TN, and TX. Kristin began her career as a Customer Service Representative in 2010 and became an Agent for American Family Insurance in 2012. Since then, Kristin has been a repeat American Star Award winner and was recently voted Best Insurance Agent by the Mesabi Tribune Best of Mesabi for 2025!
