I am a student at Kirkwood Community College and plan on attending the University of Iowa 2023/2024 school year. I am studying to get my masters degree in social work. I am excited to help assist in the family business.

Carlos Taylor is a Marketing professional and an MBA Candidate at Mount Mercy University. He is originally from Costa Rica and moved to Iowa to play collegiate level soccer. In his free time, he loves to spend time with his wife and his puppy. Carlos brings language skills into our office, making it possible for us to provide service in Spanish & German.

Jacob Brecht grew up on a farm near Norway, Iowa, and graduated from Benton Community High School in 2022. He is now pursuing a degree in Business Administration & Economics at Coe College. Away from class and the office, Jacob enjoys the outdoors and spending time with friends.

Jacob was born and raised in the Cedar Rapids area, living in both Cedar Rapids and Marion. As a local, Jacob graduated from Marion High School in 2016. For most weekends he spends his time with his partner and his two cats or going out and spending time with friends. He has been in the insurance industry since 2018 in claims before starting with Heaton and Associates. We're glad to have here.

Kari is Daryl’s (the former agent) youngest daughter and has been working in his agency for over 19 years as an office manager and farm/ranch specialist. Kari enjoys spending her free time with her two kids going on walks, and attending their sons’ sporting events. Kari’s favorite part of her job is being able to protect our clients dreams, no matter where they are at in life, and where they want to go.

Tricia has been managing customer accounts at our agency for over 5 years. She is married and has three children. During the summer, she enjoys camping. Tricia primarily focuses on our commercial policies and assisting clients with their future protection.

Sheila has been a sales representative for over four years but has been a customer at this agency for over 30 years. Sheila has been married to her husband for over 28 years. She also has two children and three dogs that love to keep her on her toes. . Sheila’s favorite part about working for our office is being able to educate customers on their insurance coverages.
